Translations for Japanese swords and sword-related items.

I am a translator of inscriptions on swords, sword furnishings (tsuba, tōsōgu, etc.), and can translate inscriptions written on scabbards, boxes, or sword related documents, including appraisal documents and certificates.

If you would just like to know the name inscribed on your sword or tsuba, in most cases I can provide a translation of a simple (2-10 character inscription) free of charge. For translation of certificates, appraisal documents, NBTHK explanation of Jūyō swords, etc., feel free to contact me to discuss.
